In a dramatic turn of events at Jaipur Airport, a SpiceJet employee slaps CISF official, leading to her arrest. According to CISF officials, the situation escalated when the SpiceJet employee was directed to undergo screening for airline crew at a nearby entrance. However, no female CISF personnel were available at the time, prompting the ASI to call for a female colleague to complete the check. During this wait, an argument escalated, ending with the SpiceJet employee slapping the CISF official. The police have since registered a case against Rani under sections 121 (1) (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) and 132 (assaulting public servant) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

SpiceJet has responded by alleging that their employee was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel, including an inappropriate comment from the ASI, suggesting she meet him at his home after duty hours. The airline is taking legal action in what they describe as a case of alleged sexual harassment against Rani and has approached local authorities.

In contrast, the CISF has denied these allegations, suggesting that the claim of sexual harassment is an “afterthought” following their refusal of a mutual compromise and decision to file a police complaint. Officials stated that CCTV footage showed about six people, including a woman CISF personnel, were present during the altercation, and the footage indicates that the SpiceJet employee slapped the CISF official without provocation.
