Afro Asia Cup 2023 Overview
The 2023 Afro-Asia Cup will be the 19th edition of the Afro-Asia Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the champions of the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup. It is scheduled to be held in India from 16 to 30 August 2023.
The tournament will be played in a single-elimination format, with the two finalists of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup (AFC) qualifying automatically. The remaining two teams will be decided through play-offs between the third-placed teams of the AFCON and the AFC.
Afro Asia Cup 2023 Teams
The draw for the tournament will be held on 15 June 2023.
The following teams have qualified for the 2023 Afro-Asia Cup:
- Cameroon (AFCON champions)
- Senegal (AFCON runners-up)
- Saudi Arabia (AFC champions)
- Japan (AFC runners-up)
The play-offs to decide the remaining two teams will be held on 19 and 22 July 2023. The following teams will compete in the play-offs:
- Burkina Faso (AFCON third-placed team)
- Australia (AFC third-placed team)
